We Continue to Stay Strong With Chrysler

Northwest Hills Chrysler Jeep, located on Rt. 202, 2033 East Main Street, Torrington, CT, was today officially notified by Chrysler LLC that it would continue to represent the Chrysler and Jeep nameplates beyond the restructuring that the parent company is currently in.


“This is great news for our business, our employees, our customers, and the Greater Torrington area” stated Kevin Sullivan, owner and General Manager of Northwest Hills Chrysler Jeep.


Media reports had speculated that Chrysler LLC could cut as many as 1,000 dealers nationwide, and as developments unfolded this week, it was clear that the cuts would be announced Thursday morning after the company formally filed the list of dealers to be cut with the bankruptcy court in New York.


At 9:15am Thursday, Chrysler LLC filed a list of 789 dealers to be terminated- 7 of which operate in Connecticut. It was reported that these rejected stores would cease operations in mid-June.


Sullivan went on to say “the manufacturer (Chrysler LLC) has not been managed well over the last few years, and this economic downturn has created a very difficult environment to sell cars. We still have some great quality products to offer, fantastic incentives to pass on to our customers, and deep discounts that really make our vehicles stand out! We have seen the credit markets loosen up considerably, rates are better than ever….it is a great time to buy a new Chrysler or Jeep!”
